Importance of Inspection (Checking and Control):

The company shall serve as a neutral third party to guarantee each contracting party shall have his rights according to contracting terms in the fields of sale, purchase, contracting of all types and quality control during the production process.

The Way by which the Company provides Inspection Service:

  • Inspection tasks (checking) shall be carried out by a group of highly qualified and technically experienced inspectors (checkers) in different specialties, who are considered key factors regarding customer trust to the Company’s performance and success in its task in Egypt and abroad.
  • Checking shall be carried out in the importer’s factories and shipping or arrival ports to ensure the validity of goods and its compliance with contracted terms and specifications as well as applicable standard specifications, to avoid such risks resulting from non-compliance of contracted specifications.
  • The period of work performance ranges from one working day of one inspector to longer periods carried out by a specialized working team.
  • Samples taken shall be accorded with international standard specifications or with contracting between the seller and the buyer.
  • Tests and analyses shall be conducted in internationally accredited labs and validity certificates shall be issued.
  • Control of weighing, counting and sorting out, and inspection of ship holds shall be conducted before loading.

QSG shall carry out necessary testing of main lifting appliances of the Plant (Bridge Crane, Telescopic Crane, Pedestal Crane, Mobile Crane, Winches, and Hoists).

 

The inspection will cover the past records of the lifting appliances operation to check for any observation or pending remedial work.

 

Function tests will be carried out for all cranes components and observation will be made (if any) for further recommendations. Proof load testing of the appliances shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant testing code/ standard. Both function and proof load testing will be performed according to a preset procedure.

 

Once integrity and safe operation are proven as a result of the inspection and testing the appliances will be certified for further service for duration in compliance with code/standard and inspection record will be submitted detailing all checks carried out.  The testing shall include but not limited to the provision of valid certified applicable load cell and certified dead weight.
